Avril in Wonderland

Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” movie is all the rage…and now Avril Lavigne gets to share in some of that spotlight!

Her song “Alice” was just released as the lead single from the movie soundtrack “Almost Alice.” The film is scheduled for release on march 5, and stars Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Mia Wasikowska.

The film follows 19-year-old Alice back to the land where she had her adventure the first time, only now she’s all grown up and ready to end the Red Queen’s reign of terror.

“Working on this project was such a treat! It was such a great experience and Tim Burton was an absolute pleasure. He is very smart. I am so grateful for this opportunity…and can’t wait to see the whole film!!!!” Avril posted on her Web site.

Lavigne makes changes, and new album

After Avril Lavigne announced her separation from husband Deryk Whibley, she also announced some other major changes in her life – and her upcoming album.

Lavigne was finishing up her work on an upcoming album, which was primarily recorded by the pop singer and her soon-to-be-ex in their home.  She plans to re-record some of the album to give the collection a sound to reflect her new lifestyle.

According the Lavigne, she left Whibley because she “married too young,” by they are expected to remain friends.
