Avril Lavigne Smells Good
This year has been a busy one for Avril Lavigne. She returned to the limelight with her single “Alice,” which was written and recorded for Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland. She has also launched a clothing line specifically for Kohl’s in conjunction with the movie.
Avril has also been busy with her fragrance line, debuting a new scent, Forbidden Rose. It will be available in Europe this July and will be sold exclusively at Kohl’s in the US beginning in August. Curious fans can order a free sample through the official website.
The line was launched last year with her original scent, Black Star. The Cosmetic Executive Women awarded it Best Fragrance in 2010. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, “Black Star was created for the girl who loves to stand out and express her own style. In other Avril news, there has been talk of a new album in the works, but the original expected date of November 17, 2009, was pushed back to June 2010. This past May, Avril decided that the album was too serious and returned to the studio to work on changes. She admits that she is in no hurry and thought that the album could use some upbeat songs to balance it out.
